Exercise Solution: An Emotional Story

once again, I hope this exercise was interesting and useful. How do you inject emotion into a data story? Sometimes it can be a pretty simple exercise and this particular challenge using flying etiquette data makes it even easier than some others because the data itself is all about emotions like anger and frustration. But I took a different tack humor is an emotion and I find it's sort of funny that young people are so cranky And it turns out that one of my stories is about the idea that the thing that makes 18-20 year olds so Cranky as compared to other passengers is being woken up. So it's pretty easy to inject humor into this data story, which I'll do by writing good subheds for each section, poking fun at young people for being cranky and for hitting, being woken up. And I'll conclude by focusing on some fun changes airlines could implement to appease this demographic, such as pushing melatonin and discouraging aisle seats for them. I didn't even have to change my story to inject ...

emotion into it. It was already a funny emotional story. But I would need to make sure I used certain tactics to emphasize that emotion which should be pretty easily doable in this scenario
