Jennifer Baumgartner

Dr. Baumgartner is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of mood, anxiety, substance use, and psychotic disorders, along with the psychology of dress. Through her wardrobe consulting business, Dr. Baumgartner works with clients to examine the underlying internal reasons for their acquiring, assembling, storing, and removing behaviors, and helps them to create a wardrobe that facilitates a positive experience from the inside out.

Dr. Baumgartner’s first book, You Are What You Wear, received glowing international press coverage, called “insightful” by The New York Times, and “fascinating…tells readers how to examine their wardrobe and their emotions and create harmony by reconciling the two” by Library Journal. Dr. Baumgartner offers educational seminars to the fashion industry, and is a consistent contributor to national and international media outlets. Her work has been regularly featured on Psychology Today, Good Morning America, NPR, The New York Times, Forbes, Women's Wear Daily,Cosmopolitan, Glamour, People, Huffington Post, Fox News, and the Wall Street Journal. She has acted as a brand ambassador for apparel companies TJ Maxx and Custom Ink.
