Yes yes and the reason for that is because your lights coming from this direction so as a model you want to always make sure you are aware where the lights coming from so this is blocking that son that we don't want and this has become your new son so wait, she ever falls back into like a motive posing okay thought her right away and come back and compassion and remind coalition used to be ok right now she's posing okay, so going back so karen is a new model. So working today with a brand new model she's not experienced she's just learning how to model so the talk has to work much harder to get the image so that means instead of just shooting over and over and over again there's a lot communication that's happening what if tougher goes in talks to her gets in a place thing, comes back and shoots if she goes back and deposing which way don't really want so much he'll go back and talk to her again and get her back in space she needs to be all right all right yeah way have enough on her. Uh, finally take on, uh, you don't see the kind of going for a marketing something she's in that right, son. Perhaps you're very attending a ball, uh, very high class, a function, and so, I mean, you're like the lady in there. They're vying to get your attention, and you, you have their ok, great. All right, so what's, the devil will be working right in this in this area. There's, a fisher mark here, way. Have our lighting coming from this direction. Okay, great, guys, that spot where? She's. Now we'll bring you overdo it just a little bit. Come over toward me right there. So this is a visual marker for you and for her. That was very cool that was very cool this last set way she's moving was really nice all right way very often when I have a girl I'm shooting she started to fall back into the opposing elemental touches like you start to do that I'll start shooting faster than it should have time throw her off of her her uh I guess our timing of opposing so I'll shoot faster searches and have time to pose I'll break that rhythm that's right now she's in this rhythm polls polls polls is actually faster it breaks her rhythm and she can't do that so you wanna do that also by shooting faster sometimes just a break that rhythm all right all right here waiting for second guess what you see how brave and I like that a lot I want to be a little faster I like when he was doing that that little rock for second I want to it faster and I don't want to stop so it should be one continuous motion I like the face just give me also when you're moving continuously like the face even he shows with the energy that the body is perfect right now I want the change in the face of the engine the face so that's why I want you to do they bring this making a small adjustment here once it comes back up we'll start shooting and then I want to start moving and not stopping right here the same rock just make it faster and keep it going in the ages in the face I like sometimes you're looking at me and looking away. Way you have a new model. You've gotta shoot one. You would prefer shooting, uh, more experienced model. But you have to also give her more communication. So being on the during a shooting that all the same way work harder when your mom but I loved you did over early this fantastic way love what you did. But what? I really love that we get people come talk to you. You have this big smile and I want to see that we huge chu. Yes, absolutely, absolutely. That I love that. That energy from that smile says everything. So give me just give me a serious like that let's. See that? And sometimes models think like I can do that. I locked the new models like I'd like to do that in smiling into this. So given that reassurance, that could do anything. Okay, whatever is not working stopped them and change the energy change like that. Like that let's, go to work. Show me. Show me that's. Better that's. Better drop the hand down for me. Let's! Go to work! Beautiful, beautiful way just want to see in this light but that's a big difference that's a big big difference and each girl's different gonna find you got find the thing that makes her come alive and with her she's looking elegant was not having a smell it's not it's attractive that's beautiful also she's alive is fresh I believe that show me that again there's a beautiful beautiful absolutely let's go toe work beautiful there we are nice bring it back with a smile back again way love that nice way beautiful good there take a break for a second I really liked that last stuff but I also see you as you fall back into posing I don't want the polls at all it's just work through it but it was wonderful to take a break we'll come back again and we should have another photographer and I should keep working on that whole process of just getting comfortable being yourself letting this malcolm through all right that's great thank you so much training yes get enjoyed that repeated so you so that's cool man I think is a very, very cool get some great stuff there won't change photographers now but you're rushing again later on and you be watching these guys shoot so time to change the energy right all right, thank you so much thank you brother

This was more of a collaborative course with Matthew Jordan Smith and Yoanna House, and it is brilliant. I just finished watching this for a few hours straight. I own several Creative Live courses and this is definitely in my Top 3. Matthew's teaching style is so kind but to the point and informative. That's the kind of photographer I aim to be. He puts forth his knowledge here in a way that totally encouraged everyone involved. I loved Yoanna as well. She was very direct but friendly as well. I loved watching her direct the budding models and her experience showed quite well. This part is for John, the guy who commented on June 2017. I completely disagree with you that there were too many questions and that other people were talking much more than Matthew, and that that was a negative. Matthew's whole point was not just to get straight to shooting but to talk a bit about interacting with people in general. This wasn't just about technical stuff; this was about forming that connection between photographer and model/subject. This was as much psychology as it was about actual shooting, and I absolutely loved that. So I 100% strongly disagree with you as this is one of Creative Live's BEST courses that I've seen thus far. Thanks a ton, Matthew and Yoanna, and thanks so much again, Creative Live (I'm a huge fan of you guys!).
