Get Creative with Monetizing

So getting created this is the final final set of slides so how to make out of monetize this in a creative way right how to monetize podcast creative way really it's it's endless the ways you can make money you know we talked about he talked about the five key things that he's making money top five but I've seen people do crowdfunding fundraisers I've seen people do raffles and contests giveaways michael steles know who's got the social of the examiner podcast he's promoting his live events he's promoting his online events meetups things like that people do these things all the time these were all ways to make money um and here's a little quote we put on the end from being selfless and doing things with integrity extraordinary things will happen I think that's the message of a podcast you know john myself we went into it to really serve people to be inspiring to educate, entertain and it's a lot of investment upfront you know he spent nine months in twenty two thousand dollars just giv...

ing something away for free putting us heart and soul into this and now he's reaping the rewards I think if you come from a place of how can I inspire my audience how can I connect with them how can I make it better every time the money will start to come it's just about her about you getting creative and how to monetize it so this is the conclusion I want to bring you guys to it there any questions online? Any questions here any final questions at all about podcasting or anything else now's the time what do you got chris anything we're good I mean we've got plenty of great comments streets we wrap things up but if you have any final thoughts and we wrap things up right now and see if there's any final questions otherwise we'll wrap it up yes you think this is the future of podcasting in terms of the next five years and like where do you see some innovations happening in the plot? Cats world that's good question future of podcasting I think it's going to continue to get bigger you know it's interesting because two dollars and six two thousand seven podcasting was pretty big it was kind of like this the coming out party and it was dead for a number of years and then it came back in like two thousand eleven twelve thirteen and now it's big it's even bigger I think like john mentioned with the cars now the apple plays and all these new cars that are coming out with smartphone capabilities with people commuting a lot I think it's going to continue to grow as more more people are creating podcast more more people going to listen to those podcast from the individuals they want to hear from and they're going to discover other related podcast no, you listen to ten podcast a week, and you probably sometimes I'm assuming you'll hear a podcast with a guest on it. Who's a podcaster on another show you might be like, let me check out the podcast as well. I like that guest and so, you know, the more people that are creating their to be talking about other podcasts as well I think it's gonna continue to grow. You may not be automakers much money in certain ways, but there's always gonna be a creative way to make money if you've got an audience there's a way to make money and for me, it's a longer play it's uh, it's another five years and I'm thinking about having my show it's been almost three years right now, but I look it is a big brand builder so that I can leverage anything I want to do, whether I want to live events, whether I want to get back into coaching, uh, more products want to create if I want to launch a new brands, I have a podcast on a platform of an audience that I can launch it tio and for me, that's what it's about creating that community and also it's so uh uh, it's unbelievable, the relationships I've created from the podcast I mean, I've interviewed some of the most incredible people in the world literally that I now call log them friends some of them I don't get to follow up with afterwards uh others are like call me any time and that for me is priceless to have those relationships that I can tap into for other things I mean, some of the guests that I've had on for the pint cass I had one guy on who afterwards he's like hey man, this is incredible how can I support you and I was like I've got my book coming out if you could buy some copies that'd be amazing he was like okay, how many I was like can you do five hundred he was like absolutely it was like I just met the guy any bought five hundred copies of my book because I gave him value I had him on my show so you never know what top of opportunities heir to come from your podcast you never know how it's gonna affect your business your life and um once I take every episode as an experience to learn and to grow and to create some magic in the world and you'll be all right yeah last questions or anything did you guys find this was valuable? Yeah, awesome cool yeah I think that's I am complete your complete complete launch a podcast connect with me and let me know how it's going all right that's a great way to end things now we have some some fantastic comments coming in people really enjoyed everything they learned today this question or this comet comes from t f pops who says thank you guys I have to take off but another brilliant webinar insanely valuable content thank you so much and then that wang who says thank you so much for doing this class been watching all day I took plenty of notes awesome information I'm just about ready to get started on my own is there anything more for me to say I mean it's pretty it's pretty simple but I'm gonna come up on stage you were going to wanna hear I'll come up come on this is it this is we've come a long way man flew by it flew by time fly amazing number let me ask him a question okay what what what section? Um it was the most interesting or was the most like eye opening for you? Which question are what section was the most eye opening for you? We talked about go ahead mike way we're like oh, I didn't realize that was pogo are something that one of the big takeaways I got from this was the importance of asking the person you're interviewing for permission to go there like that thank you who else one of the section did you find was interesting or I'll overnight for aaron one other sections I found was in the social marketing and social media is, like piggybacking off of somebody else's site who has or somebody else's board who has a bunch of followers instead of trying to start from scratch thing that was huge like it. All right, david, the value of relationships it's that simple. Yeah. Awesome. Thanks. Yeah, my man, so mind was also the building relationships. But now I think I have a better kind of sense of how to do that. I think coming in that was a big problem for me was how do I get the relations with the people that I want to get relations with if I don't know who they know? I think now it's ah, a better kind of idea of how to actually go about it, and, you know, both either in person and online, right? So that was pretty cool. Who else? Tracy? No, mike, actually, uh uh, I just I like thinking of monetizing in a much broader sense, like it's, not just sponsorship money or affiliate links, but it is going, teo speaking a conference or consult with somebody or to do an affiliate with the product out there, cool, anywhere else, I feel like this might be a weird one, but less pressure to actually go out and get a sponsor because as you were saying, it can be a platform for other things and so that like that makes it feel a little bit more open and like I don't have to go do this other thing right now so call anyone else one more yeah, I just wanted I was looking through and I got so many insights and strategies as you see, I totally just wow, tha that showed up to the camera can we get a shot at that little behind what it is he's been taking a lot of notes and that's that's the workbook that guy just didn't get on the course they got your face yeah, since I did something last time we're gonna do something together so everyone put your stuff down. All right, come on, stage come on, do something three final perfect final fate way we're gonna get a group photo anyway, so we'll just do this, okay? Come on, come on. Hey, come on, kate okay, now we're gonna get a circle kate and chris in the middle come on in the middle come on, here we go, come on the circle round around them oh, boy around this way this way here we go, the whole circle coming camera I'll still see us, we're going we're good please put the music gone, john, come over. Yeah, we'll do it all, just like you think over the hands in the middle, right, and we're gonna do. I love podcasting on threat. You've got a gay, okay, who's going to call it out? Two three.

Wow! This was the first time I watched a tutorial in this format - and LOOOOVE It - The audience was great , love the interactive format and the small group , because everyone gets better interaction face time with the instructor . Of course , I love anything that Lewis does- and would love to thank him and Creative Live for the free month we received as a gift at the Summit of Greatness 2018. Also, before this I actually never heard of Creative Live, so I am grateful to have found out about you guys. Thank you to Lewis and Creative Live - I will for sure taking full advantage (in a nice way :) of my free access. Beautiful!!

Absolutely EXCELLENT Creative Live course. It's funny because I was going through some old emails and I found a promo email to this course when Lewis was first promoting it. I missed out on it the first go around and so seeing this email made me curious if it was still being offered, and it was! I purchased it and went through it in two days (it would have been one day but I had other work to get done :-) Lewis is so amazing as an instructor, I really love how he gives great insight but doesn't see anything as being a "secret". He's all about getting things done through hard work and simply experimenting. He truly shares all in this course! If you are familiar with the podcasting world to some extent and are curious as to how to monetize your podcast, this is for you! Take it and enjoy! -JT
