Develop Relationships with Your Guest

So what are you doing your podcast right now? You three episodes in I'm six in essex and so I publish it obviously ana blawg jumpstart your joy dot com and then I put a facebook post up I do I pull out quotes just like you do and I usually make three images andi put those on instagram over the day like quot windows yeah that's good using just usually like lifestyle photography when I also put up a key picture of the person I'll get them to give me a head shot on dh then I put the title in the podcast title below it on dh put that up that's what my main images on newsroom on instagram and facebook yeah, and then I'm also posting walt sorry, boosting the post on facebook like you said, I usually spend seven dollars yeah, and that does get traffic. I also make sure I tagged the person that I friended and tagged the person on facebook because then, like with the episode with matt would we were friends from fifth grade on but his he has a bunch of his fans in that facebook post and they all...

went back it went organically viral on its own kind of let's not get out of control the viral but so that's what I'm doing but I don't know how to swim and to be on that twitter is, um and facebook are my big too and pinterest when I remember to do it when you remember but now that I've heard you said fifty percent I'm all over it that'll be now so why remembering to do it? Why don't you have a schedule of a checklist of everything you're supposed to do? I will make one or maybe there's one in the we have bonuses way have checklists were bonuses for the steps you should do after you, you know, upload the podcast to the publishing, marketing all the pictures I will get on that thing. This is crucial because I used to forget all the time like where all the places I'm supposed to promote it. I was just like posting on facebook and on the next thing it's so important to have a say schedule on a checklist of everywhere that you're going to do it, so just write it out ok once it's published water the next twenty places I'm gonna feature this and you can probably come up with a lot more places than you think there's like uh what is it? Buzz is buzz feed there's another one buzz social or something there's all these different directories that you can publish them too there's uh, you know digg dot com you can do all these other places like dig read it then she can submit your links to yeah and people don't do this enough no ru one read it yeah, yeah, I pushed publishing mall stuff okay, so you want to create like I want everyone to do this right now you create a list of twenty places you're going toe feature your podcast once you publish it so they're just write down that I'm gonna create a list or start creating a list and you've got twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest um you could even do it on youtube you could create a little video one minute intro video on youtube posted there with headline and tag it any other social media sites you can think of any other platforms to upload it you can think of like digg and reddit things like that so create a list of twenty places that you will promote the podcast afterwards if you're not doing this it's almost like you might as well not to the podcast in my opinion because what's the point of doing all the work if no one's gonna listen yeah, yeah, good point so it's maur important to promote, promote, promote, promote for a couple days for one show me and my team so what else? What questions do you have them? So you're posting like three places right now? Yeah, I guess another question would be my original blawg was welcoming spirit, which no longer than my podcast is jumpstart your joy. Totally. Would you change the name like, would you create another one? No, we can forget about the block. I mean it's still great that's still active, but would you change and make facebook accounts for jump start your joy to get what I'm asking and then have a community around that you have a facebook page around the old bloggers where yeah, yeah, how would you tackle that? What do you want? I don't want to I don't want to have to keep up to many communities, so merge them. I could also put it under a different one, which would like be paula jenkins as a public figure like I'm a public figure, but not yet. Yeah, um, so maybe which way would you go? You're all under louis house, right? I've got a personal face with paige and I've got a fan page because I'm maxed out on five thousand friends that's why I started the fan page um, and I've got a school greatness page, but my fan, my louis house fan page was already had enough like traffic traction, and I was like, one I just promoted here school greenest on those house rampage, but I also created a school greenness facebook account as well. That's got, like, out of a thousand or two thousand likes it was just another place to publish it so you can create it, not spend as much time in it. I would say focus on one page to build up without your personal or the other one. Keep building the block one up. You could just put this on that block. Yeah, that makes sense. But you get most of yours on the lewis house public figure page because that's where most falling. Very cool. Yeah, um, trying to think of other questions here. One more. One more question I probably dio, um, twitter, you said is I find it's like, yelling and allowed hallway like you don't you don't get much traction. Okay? Published on there multiple times a day, I think it's fine, but okay, any other surprise little social media pieces that you would use that no one's talking about yet? You know what? You're gonna see where I'm going. I can remember from talking about this next or I'm gonna bring this up in a second. I'll talk about something, but I'm getting even more traffic. Okay, so thank you for your hand.

Wow! This was the first time I watched a tutorial in this format - and LOOOOVE It - The audience was great , love the interactive format and the small group , because everyone gets better interaction face time with the instructor . Of course , I love anything that Lewis does- and would love to thank him and Creative Live for the free month we received as a gift at the Summit of Greatness 2018. Also, before this I actually never heard of Creative Live, so I am grateful to have found out about you guys. Thank you to Lewis and Creative Live - I will for sure taking full advantage (in a nice way :) of my free access. Beautiful!!

Absolutely EXCELLENT Creative Live course. It's funny because I was going through some old emails and I found a promo email to this course when Lewis was first promoting it. I missed out on it the first go around and so seeing this email made me curious if it was still being offered, and it was! I purchased it and went through it in two days (it would have been one day but I had other work to get done :-) Lewis is so amazing as an instructor, I really love how he gives great insight but doesn't see anything as being a "secret". He's all about getting things done through hard work and simply experimenting. He truly shares all in this course! If you are familiar with the podcasting world to some extent and are curious as to how to monetize your podcast, this is for you! Take it and enjoy! -JT
