How To Open Files

one of the most fundamental things about Photoshop that we need to understand is that for every task there are many ways to accomplish that task. So let me demonstrate that by showing you how to open a file, there are at least six different ways to open files in Photoshop and probably more. But let's just show you a few ways so we can go over here to Photoshop and double click on the empty workspace here and then we can go down and choose wanna dot jpeg and open that file and there it is. So that's one way I can hit command or control o and then we open wanna dot jpeg, I can open it that way or I can go over here to file and then open and get to my wanna dot jpeg file and open it. I could also use a bridge. So this is adobe bridge. So I can go in here and double click on this. Let's just double click on a different file. Open that. So we can open it that way. We can also go over here to the home screen and you can see that I have Lightroom photos so I can open photos there. I can open ...

photos. Some cloud documents. There are many, many different ways to open files in Photoshop Now, I don't really want to show you how to open files. What I want you to understand from this segment is that for every single thing there are many different ways to accomplish that thing that is by design. That's because we work in different ways as photographers and Rita Cher's or as teams. And so all you need to do is as I'm going through and showing you different ways to accomplish the same thing is to choose the one, choose the one that works best for you and your workflow and stick with that and you don't have to worry about the rest.

Ratings and Reviews

Mark did a great job at explaining things and going over them multiple times throughout the lessons. My only issue was that sometimes it went a little faster than I could keep up and I needed to rewind it a bit and start again. But from someone who has never worked in photoshop before I 100% recommend this class to anyone trying to learn.
