Nikon® D610 Update

Hi, welcome to the nikon d six. Ten a dende. Um, this little video right here, which will be very short, just is here to address the differences between the nikon d six ten and the d six hundred. Well, it kind of goes back when the d six hundred came out, it had a little bit of a technical issue. It had a doily shutter mechanism that splattered a little bit of oil on the sensor, so if you do own a nikon d six hundred and you get spots on your sensor, they can be cleaned up. But it's, just a bit more of a problem that it has been on some other cameras, and so, in order to fix the problem, nikon has come out with a new camera with a new number, with a very slight difference set of features. And so this video addresses the differences between the six, ten and six hundred so that when you watch the d six hundred class with your six ten, you'll know what's going on. And so let's address the differences besides this new shutter unit that they put into the six, ten physically, the cameras are...

basically identical cameras as faras they're size, weight and so forth, and where the big difference is, is in this new shutter mechanism they've gone in, and they've up the frames per second of the motor drive so rather than shooting at five point five frames per second for the d six hundred the new six ten khun shoot it six frames per second along with that they have added a completely new feature well not completely new but somewhat new is a continuous quiet option where the camera fires a little bit more quietly than normal and it does so at three frames per second the d six hundred does not have the continuous quiet option on it and they've also gone in and while it's not clear exactly what they've done but they've improved the white balance system on the camera and so what's happened in here is that it's improved in under artificial lighting conditions and gives you a little bit more realistic skin tones other than that the cameras are identical first reports out from the six ten is that there's no oil on the sensor issues if you do have oil on the sensor with a d six hundred and it is covered under warranty, I would recommend that you turn it back into nikon camera will be out of your hands for a while and they can go in and they can clean that sensor up and generally just kind of going into about that oil sensor it's generally only a problem on the first one thousand images so if you've been using your camera for a while and you don't see any problems. You're not likely to have any problems down the road, because that system is kind of flushed out of the system, you might say so. That's. The difference between a d six, ten and a d six hundred, and we didn't. I didn't want to go through make up a whole new class just for those three new features. So that's, why we created this little video, you can now watch the rest of the d six hundred class, and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you very much.

I am a fairly experienced UK user and wasn';t sure what to expect, but was very impressed. I like the slick CL website and well produced HD videos. John is certainly a very good teacher, who is clearly spoken and tells you what you need to know about the D600. I was able to sit with my camera in hand and go through all of the controls and picked up some very good tips, which I will use in Bhutan tomorrow! So I like my new teacher and on that basis will be coming back to take John's Fundamentals of Digital Photography and also the Olympus EM1 courses, which represent good value for money.

What can I say John Greengo is the best photography instructor and the best prepared instructor I have ever witnessed. His visual aids are second to none along with his presentation style and years of experience you can't ask for any thing better. He covers the D600/D610 from top to bottom and doesn't miss a thing. If you have this camera and don't feel you are using it to the best your ability, then try this course. You will come away with a much better understanding of how to better use your D600. If you are new to digital photography or if you might need a little reinforcement of the basics then I highly recommend his 5 day course "Fundamentals of Digital Photography 2014." He covers everything in this course from what different camera brands offer, along with exposure to composition, and from focusing to lenses and lighting. He doesn't miss a thing and neither will you with John's clear and concise teaching style.

I am about half way through this D600 course. Like many people it turns out I learn significantly better visually (and hands-on). Thanks to John's well spoken and clear style absorbing his presentation is very effective. I have already applied even simple D600 features. Even if you are thinking about this model I strongly recommend this course- If you're like me, you already made the plunge. That's O.K.- this will maximize your experience. Do it.
