Sharing from LR mobile with Open In Feature

So we talked about sharing these online with people so they can you know they can flag him they can heart um you know, love them or whatever you call that they can comment on him you can get the comments back all those come back to not only to your device but they also come to your light room catalog itself so that's a really good way to connect with your clients or people you're collaborating with it would be a great way to if you're working with a team on a photo shoot that's a great way for them to be able to see the images that you are shooting while you're on location oh because I'm just shooting on location there getting tagged they're going up to the website and then people you're working with on the shoot me like oh yeah that's a great location let's use that because they can be like if someone's back in london on the shoot with me and they're just like oh yeah I like that I like that place then I would know within ten minutes because all of a sudden they've commented on it and...

I can see the comment come back to me and I can review it here on my mobile application so it's very easy for me to connect with people and work and collaborate with people so it's a great way to do that in addition to that ability? We also want to talk about the ability of sharing the images through other applications or, say, twitter or facebook et cetera. So let's go back to our instead of a location scouting situation. Let's, go back to our ipad here and let's go to this image let's just say we're going to share this image. We love the image, so if you go right above the image right above the history am there's a little arrow pointing out that's your share? Click on that and I have a lot of different options here, and the first thing that you need to know is that lightning can only share through applications that you've allowed to share inside of your ios. Now, I know I'm not sure about other devices, android devices and how that works, but in the ios system, you would go into your settings on your computer and there's a siri's of like facebook twitter, those things have like they're there buried into like they're part of the ios, and so you sign in there, so you have to sign in so that your device has access to those services. Once you've signed in and made sure that they have access to those services, then when you click on share, you have the option. For sharing through messages or through mail or you could click on mohr and there's a little bit more information how you could share to those things you can also save these images out so whatever adjustments you've done, you can save those to your camera roll and then you could you know use the native photo application to share them copy them and then there's another mohr option here that gives you various options as well but thing I want to talk about is the second one which is open in open in allows you to open and all sorts of things so if I want to open it in photo shop so that I do like sandy to do some re touching on this image I can open that inside of photo shop and that will open it up and I could do some little you know, mobile retouching on the image stuff like that but the place that I would want to open in is something like instagram so I click on instagram it just opened up in instagram and now I got to be signed in I don't I've never instagrammed from this so anyway we're just imagine years imagine that I instagrammed s o so anyway you can share through instagram you can share through any of those options that you have there so just there's your share there's your open in you can also copy or move now if I copy this photo if I say copy to then I get to choose which of my mobile uh collection's I want to put it in and so I could say, well, I wantto copy it into this one or that one or copy to that to the at my desk and hit go and now it's there's two copies there's one here and there's one over there um if I move it then it's going to take it out of this one and put it into another one if I remove it it's going to delete it now when I say delay it's not gonna delete it says remove not delete so it's removing it from this collection but it's still going to be on my computer and it's still going to be in my photos like if I drew this photo from my photos application it's still in my photos application is just no longer referenced here and it's still in my computer home it's just no longer referenced here so you can start removing stuff if you if you're getting cluttered the same thing's true if you go back to your all of your collections so you can go to a set of collections here and you could say click on this one and say, you know I really don't need to be paying attention to this anymore I'm done I've sent all of the data over I'm happy with it, and so I could just say, remove this collection and its ceo says this on ly removes the collection from your mobile device, and the web doesn't do anything over here. So if I hit removed, I just cleared up space on my mobile device. But it's still over here, waiting for me to be used here. So here's, my mobile review right there. So all of those images are still sitting there, waiting for me to do whatever I want. And if for some reason I wanted those to be back, I would just simply go back to my mobile review here and scroll that they're getting here. See that so it's no longer lit up that little connection. If I wanted to be back there, all have to do is click on that. And now it's going back, and it will then re synchronize over here. And in a matter of a few seconds, we will have that collection back on here again, waiting for us toe to use it.

Outstanding course! I have been using Lightroom since the day it was introduced, and felt very confident comfortable using the app. That said, I was amazed at all the great, new stuff I learned about Lightroom Mobile in this short class. Jared is an excellent instructor who combines great material with his fun sense of humor to entertain and instruct. I sincerely recommend this class and kudos to Jared and CreativeLive for a job well done.
