Distributing Your Podcast

congratulations on making it to the fifth step of the core five. Okay, honestly this is the part that people that get the most hung up on on launching a podcast is all of these steps that we've just discussed. What mike do I need? How do I record it? How do I edit it? Where do I host it? And finally how do I get it on Apple podcasts and Spotify? Well this is actually going to be the easiest step for you. So if you've made it this far without giving up, sit back and relax because this one is pretty simple as we discussed in the last one on hosting. Okay, your hosting provider is going to give you that R. S. S feed and what I'm going to tell you to do next. You're only going to do once, which is really amazing. A lot of people think that for every single episode I have, I need to upload it to Apple, I need to upload it to Spotify. I need to upload it to overcast google podcast that can get very time consuming considering more and more readers, which is what these are are being started al...

l the time because podcasting can be a little bit difficult to navigate. A lot of new solutions are coming out so that people can have a better listening experience. Well, you want to set yourself up so that your podcast is featured in all of those different readers. So what you're gonna do, you're only going to do this once when you're ready to launch your show. You're going to go create a profile on apple podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, google podcasts, I heart radio tune in pocket casts stitcher. Don't worry. I've included them all below this video for you and all they're going to ask for is the name of your show and the rss feed. They probably will ask for like an email address or contact information. It'll vary by platform by platform but you just do this once. It usually takes a couple of days to get approved, they'll notify you and say congratulations. Your show is now in our library of shows and every time you upload a new episode to your hosting provider, it will automatically update on all these readers. So you don't ever have to go back to any of these platforms. And ideally you're using a hosting provider that gives you the analytics from all of them. So you can very clearly see where you're getting your downloads from and you don't have to go back to all of these different platforms. So there you go, that's all it takes to distribute a podcast. You're going to do this once and from then on all you're doing is uploading that mp three file or mp four file to your hosting provider with your new title, your new description for the episode and you're onto marketing, which is what we're discussing next

Big Up's to Sam Laliberte, awesome course. I have been podcasting since 2020 and I took the course to improve my podcast structure along with my marketing skills and for sure it paid off. I learned so much in this course that I have been applying it to my podcast and how I promote the show. I highly recommend this class to anyone who is podcasting or thinking about it. Thank You Sam putting on the right track. Great tip on Instagram, thanks.
