Action - Find 3 Products That Pass Our Choosing A Product Cheat Sheet

in this video, we're going to find three products that pass are choosing a product sheet sheet. I want to give you a heads up that this task is probably gonna take you a while, I think this is going to be the longest task in this course. But it's also one of the most vital. We want to make sure that we find products that pass all of our criteria here and that way it'll save us time down the road where we don't have to do a deep search on products that probably aren't going to be a good fit for us. So to get started, you're gonna want to have your choosing your product cheat sheet ready, which you can always find in your resource packet. And I've also attached it as a download to this video. Once you have it with you, you're gonna want to open up an internet browser and from here we're going to go back to amazon's bestseller list and just like in the video before we're gonna want to start in the category that we chose to start are searching. And in my example that category is pet suppli...

es. And from here we talked about how these products are not good because they're too competitive. So I'm going to jump into a subcategory and I think we actually want to go deeper than just one subcategory. So I'm gonna start our search in another subcategory Now, I'm gonna start looking through the subcategory to see if I can find any products that look interesting And right off the bat, I'm avoiding any product that has over 1000 reviews And that's because if we look at our sheet here, that's one of our criterias that if a product on the top 15 list has over 1000 reviews, I'm not going to choose that product. These dog diapers look like they might be interesting. What I'm gonna do is open up a new tab, go to amazon dot com and type in dog diapers and what I usually do just to do this as quick as possible is do a quick scroll and see if any of them have over 1000 reviews. So right off the bat, this one has over 1000 reviews. So I'm gonna start looking for different products and as you can probably see by now, the more familiar you are with this cheat sheet which just comes with practice, the quicker you can search through products. One thing I'm avoiding is any products that seem like they're going to have varying sizes. So these dog breeds for example have five different sizes and that means if we were to sell this product, we would have to source and hold this inventory all five of these sizes to compete with this seller and we don't want to do that, we're looking for a single product with no variations and part of this will get better and quicker at the more you do it. But also another part is, there's a lot of luck involved. I mean it might take you two hours to find a product that passes all our criteria. Or you could get lucky and the next product you choose is the product that's perfect. Here's an example of a product that all the reviews are under 1000. So it's made me curious and I'm gonna do the unicorn smasher. And the first thing I'm looking for now is do five of the top 10 products have a Bs are between 2500 and 25, 123. No, so it seems like the first couple of these items are selling pretty well, but there's not enough sales volume for it to be worth it because as you see after these first three products, the rest of these are not making hardly any sales if any at all. So I'm gonna keep looking for a different product. So I looked at every product so far in this subcategory and if I wanted to I could go even another subcategory deeper. But I don't think that would be a good idea because if we went that deep the bs are would be way too high for it to be worth it for us to sell those products. So I'm gonna go back to the dog subcategory and look for a different sub category within dogs. So we try to parallel accessories. Now I'm gonna try carriers and travel products And most these products seem too big or they have over 1000 reviews. So I'm just skipping through them, dog seat belt and you may be wondering If one of our criterias is the product selling prices between 15 and $75? Why would I consider a product that's selling for $9? And the reason why is if we search for the product, Maybe the average selling price is within 15-75. And the item we clicked was on the lower quality end of that spectrum or we could sell a premium product and make it within that price range. So for example, here would be a good example of what a more premium version of a dog car harness could look like that's within our selling price. But this one has over 1000 reviews. So I'm gonna look for something else for the sake of this video. I'm not gonna keep searching because this process is very boring to watch but I highly encourage you to start doing it yourself. Get familiar with it and don't worry if you start out really slow because the more you do this the quicker you're going to get at it. Now I'm gonna show you one of the products that I found with this method and it took me about an hour to find this product. But it does pass all our criteria and I found it when I was in the dog subcategory under colors harnesses and leashes and it was towards the end of this and it was this double dog leash. So I found it just like I showed you earlier, I was looking at these other products and I typed in double dog leash here and now let's run through the criteria just to show you what it looks like. The first was using unicorn smasher and I was looking for five of the top 10. Having a Bs are between and 25, six. So six out of 10. This was the double dog leash And next up was none of the top 10 have a Bs are below 500. None of them have over 1000 reviews. 10 of the top 15 have less than 201, 2, 3, 456 seven, 89, 10. This one, it was a little bit closer to almost not passing This product selling prices between 15 and $75. Some of these leashes are below $15, But also some of them are above. And I think if we were to lean towards selling a higher end of this product that we could sell it for above $15. So yes, the product is durable and unlikely to break while shipping for a dog leash. Yes, Product sizes smaller than eight x 8 x 8". Let's click on this and sometimes they don't have the dimensions here. So you just have to look at another listing. This one is 11.5 x 6.2 x 1.1. So the 11.5 is over 8", but the other two are really small and it's a leash, so I'm sure it folds together So I'm sure it could fit in an eight x 8 x eight box. And finally the product does not violate any copyrights or patents and I'm pretty sure it doesn't. But of course, before we want to import this product, we want to take a deeper look. So here was an example of a product that passed or choosing a product sheet sheet, like I mentioned before, this process will most likely take you awhile. And this product in particular took me an hour to find but don't get discouraged because I'm, the process feels like I'm not making any progress, I'm not making any progress and then all of a sudden you find like the perfect product. So it's definitely worth it to hang in there and you can do it. After doing the searching process for a while, I came across two more products that passed all our criteria on the choosing a product cheat sheet and the first was an acrylic stapler. And what I had to do was after searching through the pet category, I wanted to move to another category to get some fresh ideas. I took a look back at our product category sheet and I chose another category in our list of best categories. And that's how I came across this acrylic stapler and this is what it looks like. And then I also went to another category and in the baby category, I found a product called the belly casket which passed all our criteria. And I'll show you what that looks like here. In this video, we found three products that passed are choosing a product sheet sheet. In the next video, we're going to add these products to our product comparison sheet, pause this video now and don't move on until you found three products that pass are choosing a product cheat sheet.
