LinkedIn Links to Group

Linked in groups so this is the photography business group here it's at thirty four thousand I think we already now closer to thirty eight thousand now we ating eight adding adding about a thousand ah a week now and they if you want to set up your own group that's great but you follow the same thing that I told you earlier about the category this does not say b artist business group this says photography business I was the first photography business group unlinked in and that's why I called the photography business group since then other unknown competitors have now gone and said, this is the photography business and marketing group go ahead be my guest but I am thie only photography business group and we have by far the most members and when you do a simple search just with photo chief e I don't even have to write the word out. You see, we are in the second spot on linked in because my group is very tightly moderated it's a close call actually pay somebody to approve each and every si...

ngle member because you have to be in the photography business to be allowed in my group because I want to keep the quality off the conversation up to set up your own group is very easy you just go and you you go to the groups and you create your own group but feeling the group it's not easy and I mean to get to critical mass takes a long time so I've set up another group called the women's code the women's code group I've set up for a different purpose because I wanted you know I have this idea about a code for women so when I blogged when I do the long from publishing at the end of each of my long form articles is my blurb and what does my blur path my blurb has two links it's actually three legs it says be articulate she's the author ofthe happy woman happy world now it says she has written insides paper and it says feel free to join our group's photography business linked to the group or our group the women's code linked to the group since that is on each one off my articles and when we get you know read on an article with like twenty four thousand ten thousand been three thousand my book sales go up this is how it works together my book sales go up my insides papers downloaded and my groups start to fill up more so it gets me this this's the platform you see now the platforms built ing because now everything that you do is kind of coming together and this is where linked it really helps you on the professional level to get to get to ah higher higher category what else through pes you're joining for some reason artists only want to join groups where are the artists are this is really terrible for business because why would your clients join a photography group your clients don't your clients are in architect groups your clients are interior designer groups your clients are in in media a media professionals your clients are in hr professionals your clients are in the manufacturing association group your clients are in chief crap from china group that's where your clients are so the best way to find out the groups that you need to join is to go to the people that are you dream clients and see what groups they are in and then join them and then you follow the four step formula that I taught in the very beginning on the authority platt from day now but one is you start to talk and comment on other people number two they're not going to respond to you because they're listening number three they're engaging with you and that's how you get to you know this authority status which is number four so you just follow the same stuff over and over and over again high I am a photographer and I found this this conversation extremely helpful hi I am a creative specialist that has come up with a unique formula that makes clients love your brand so I would like to hear from you question asking questions in groups is always great I would like to hear from you what what obstacles are you and what do you think of the three obstacles said your business encounters um where you you want to make lines happy but they're not happy what do you usually do? So you go to the pain points that you are solving and you ask specific questions because remember how it works here that you want to know exactly what hurts them so you have to ask a question in such a way in the group that they will tell you what what hurts them what's the what's the number one thing that really turns you off with whatever or what if you were to couldn't if you if there was a way you could connect with your customer on a deeper, more intimate it level what would that look like to you? What would that be worth it to you? So I really go through these thought processes and say what is it you know remember what is it that we want to achieve what's the end result we want to achieve now we are reverse engineering back to the beginning because now we want to get the information so that we can we can start serving and get that information and then we start solving the problem okay so that's into four groups do you have any questions for the group's darryl when you're in those forms in those client forms, what's the etiquette on your links, is it just enough that your profile might be visited by them? Or do you put back links or anything like that in your comment screen, if it's relevant? So if I go into a group and somebody says, um, I'm looking for I'm looking, I'm, you know, like, lets him and a woman's group woman women lets him in the women's entrepreneur group and there's a woman, and she makes a common and she says, I have two kids, I'm fresh, newly divorced and running my own company. Does anybody else have any advice on how I can not feel so overwhelming frazzled all the time? What do you guys do then I will jump in, and I was say, I'm so sorry to hear that. That sounds awful. I used to be, you know, a single mom, and here is what what I did, and if you're interested, I actually here's a link to an article I wrote about the ten things that busy moms can do to regain, you know, balance in their lives. Let me know if you find this interesting so you make it to a very soft left, right and very soft and very relevant. All right, so we just covered the what groups to join uh, you can create your own group joined many client groups you add on ly a few off industry related groups that are relevant for you so you you are allowed to join the photography business group, of course, and you may join one more but really the majority off your efforts should be spent in groups where your clients are because you need to learn what they're talking about. There will be a possibly questions and answers coming up if we have enough time. So what I want you to do is pay attention now to your workbook. So on page number fifty one what I have done for you is I've given you an actual checklist for your linked in profile where I put it all down you see that beautiful check box right there and including the one item that says what I need to fix on my linked in profile so that will help you to go that go through that on page number fifty two I have, uh, some two links for you to check out that have to do with sort of the most frequently asked questions arlington where you can go and get those answers and then there is a linked in corporate publishing playbook that I definitely recommend you too to do on page number fifty three what you can never do these are the link in mistakes that are workbook exclusive, so you can go in here and there is this one. You know, if you look at the bottom of page like fifty three, there is a way for you two s o. Convince some of these problems. By using this one feature, you got to get the workbook to get that information. Uh, on number fifty four. We have the second mistake, which we, which I will share with you because we already covered. That is, you are not going to send anybody an email selling your services, because it would mean that you are being marked as a spammer.

Beate Chelette delivered so much value with so much style and grace that it was a "no-brainer" decision on the 2nd day -- I needed to own "Grow Your Business as the Authority In Your Space"! This is material I can really go back to and mine for nuggets over and over -- PLUS, I can't wait to get a closer look at the workbook (and start trying out the exercises of course!). Beate's surprisingly broad expertise coupled with her polish and professionalism made each day's programming a true joy to watch. She is a wonderful role model for all of us nascent women entrepreneurs -- and obviously, men will find her lessons just as empowering. Thank you, CreativeLive and a special thank you to Beate Chelette!

Outstanding lessons and advice on how to make your sales become real. The advice on how to link yourself to others via Linked-In is compelling and easy to begin. I like her advice about doing at least 1 thing every day for your business. Barry L Walton

I love this course and dip back into it frequently. I would highly recommend this course to entry-level and mid-career academics, particularly women. More courses please from Beate Chelette! Cheers, Amy
