Make a Strong Impression Online

all right, so let's get to it thes the channels. I know that there's a lot more, but these other channels that we are going to focus on over the next two days Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, periscope and we will be doing a live broadcast and instagram my favorite social media platform. So what does it mean to be consistent with your social media channels, your social channels should drive awareness to your business, and that is really what they're all about. Your target audience should be able to discover you on all active social channels. Your branding and messaging should be recognised on all platforms. And so if you have platforms open, you should be active on those platforms. You don't have to do it all. You just need to do the things really well and really consistency consistently, like sticking to a schedule. So I have multiple accounts on Instagram and I set up a posting strategy so that it can stick to the schedule. And obviously this is the one platform that I am constantly on ...

every day, and we at the SP Z team have a presence on the other platforms and use them. But this is the one that I'm responsible for and knowing what my schedule it is to be active helped set me up for success on my personal account. I post about 123 times a day and on my business account in my other counts, I post 11 time a day. So it makes me It makes it easy for me to know what I'm doing on each of my of my instagram accounts. So you really need to understand what's gonna work for you. I will say if a new platform comes out and you don't wanna start being on that channel, I do recommend grabbing your name so that somebody else doesn't take your name and you can keep it on private because I know so many people that have one of their accounts open and they weren't able to get their other account because someone else had it. Rachel on my team is a perfect example. She's Rachel Polish on instagram and Rachel a polish on Twitter. So you want to be consistent and you don't want to miss out. For example, we're not talking about Snapchat, but if that was something you were open, you would want to get your name If that was a platform that you thought you were gonna be embracing. So be active if you're committed, and if you're not gonna commit, grab your name, toe, Hold your name so that someone else doesn't take it if you think it's going to be part of your strategy in the future So I would like to know which which social channels are you on right now? You in the audience, the World Wide Web. I want to know which ones are on and I really want Oh, I really want Teoh understand, So that I have a sense of everyone that I'm talking to you like, which, which is your favorite one. So I'd like to reach out to the audience to the live audience and get a sense of how many that you are actively on and anyone want to share just so that we have. I don't have a sense of like, Is it? More than two Is that three is a five like me, Really crazy or Angie, I'm on five year on five. And how do you feel about being on five? Are you overwhelmed? I'm overwhelmed. Okay, So So let's just talk about those five. And if you want to, just quickly tell us why you are on those five. So I'm on Facebook, Twitter, instagram, periscope and Snapchat, which I have my name, but I haven't done any. Okay, that's good. And so Facebook, Mansour grammar my favorite and definitely get the most activity. Twitter is a mystery to me, and I'm really excited to learn about that over the today. Here? Yeah. So? And periscope, just starting starting out have done a few broadcast still trying to figure that out. So the next question is, which ones do you think are fun like, Do you like Instagram? It's the grand eyes that your is that the only one that you having fun doing? Yes. OK, so that totally need to evaluate what you're doing to make sure that you're enjoying the process. What I find is that when business owners are doing social media because they think they should be doing social media and they don't have a strategy, that's when they fail and they get they get overwhelmed, especially if you're creating products that you're selling. You just don't have the time we talked about that pain point time. So you need to make sure that if you're gonna embrace a channel that you go all in and get results before feeling like you need to jump on another channel Does anyone else want to share real quick, Johanna and welcome Johanna from Germany. Johanna came from the furthest away to be in the audience And I'm so thrilled that you're here. Thank you. I'm sorry, I'm thrilled to So I really like I had to count. I'm like heaven. I think so. I'm totally overwhelmed. So, um, Instagram is definitely also the one I totally like. I started on Facebook or let's say Twitter, but I never used Twitter for business. Um, and I'm still not really active over there as well. So Facebook and Instagram half the most following. Then I started with periscope and black, and I totally like the whole video live streaming thing. I think it's the only reason why I'm actually, um had the guts to get here, cause otherwise I wouldn't like talking in English was not really like my my professional eso I like with periscope. I practice that every day. So, um, practice your English Yes, I practice English like practicing, talking to people. And it's just, like, sort of easy under tow have, like, really an audience in front of me. Just seeing the Chet, right? So, um, that's Miller. It's a good thing. And then you have black, but also like blood because they actually have some other people to talk to. And yes, Snapchat isn't unused. One I'm there, like, three weeks or so. Like the first time when I downloaded. I was like, What the heck is this? Yeah, and I deleted the app again on and then you went on Snapchat and I was like, OK, so there must be something and I figured I was really fun. It's often just like for ah, journey, like when I go to San Francisco from Germany and it's so nice to chair, like pictures and art just nice from us Illustrator and video. So it's really Yeah. So we're gonna have that. We're gonna have a chance to put you in the hot seat tomorrow and go deeper into all these platforms really to figure out which ones are best for your business, your as an illustrator, because you are a phenomenal artist and illustrator. Thanks. And everyone watching should be following Johanna, especially on Instagram. And you just change your name, right? I just changed my ohana for it. Yeah, right. Okay. We were OK. Well, thanks for thanks. So it sounds like my audience participants are a little overwhelmed with how many channels they are on. And I will say that it does get a whelming, especially with these new platforms popping up with live stream. And so you really have to do an assessment, and we're gonna talk about that throughout the course.

I have done several social media courses - nothing compares to this..... The emphasis consistently with each AMAZING presenter, about BRANDING YOU and STAYING ON POINT with all your social media efforts really hit home for me. I had never given it THAT MUCH THOUGHT.. WOW !! The audience participation sharing their tools and how they cross promote their list building and community building was a fabulous addition to the processes shared by the presenters... The clarity about each social media platform and how best to use was like a bolt of lightening to my brain, as was the organisational business training on managing your social media efforts . . . . I need this to refer to again and again .. .. . . I promised myself I would not buy another course BUT this one I cannot afford NOT TO BUY . I love love LOVE Creative Live!! Thanks Sue B, and all your brainy helpers, I have only 1 more wish and that is to have your team here at home with me . . S.I.G.H.

Sue B. Zimmerman's *Get Social: Connecting Your Business Channels* is one of the best I've seen of it's kind (or the best). It was easy to see that each guest speaker was prepared and truly loved what they were talking about - people can feel that. The energy was contagious. But, like everything else, one has to be diligent and follow those strategies that applies to them and their projects. It takes work! What I liked most was that although Sue brought all these experts together in one place to speak to us, she DID NOT make us feel as if we MUST master EACH and EVERY social networking channel in order to be successful. Sue B. Zimmerman made it fun, which makes one want to roll up their sleeves and get started and put in the work! THANK YOU, Sue B. Zimmerman! Roz Fruchtman (@PhotoshopHaven)
