Multiple exposures - this is the ability to shoot a double exposure in the camera and this is not something most serious photographers do very often but it is something that you might want to do to have a little bit of fun. So, for instance, to do this you could take one photo of the moon because maybe it's in a certain part of the sky and then with your second photo you take a picture of the city and then what the camera will do is it will combine those two together so that you the moon right over the city exactly in the position that you want. Some of the astronomical nuts out there might not be happy with that but maybe you've created a photograph that you like. So that's something that you would typically not be using but can be used for fun from time to time. Alright, wireless communication. The camera can communicate with a mobile phone so that you can control the camera from a distance and there's a number of little things you need to set up when you do this. So, let's walk thro...
ugh the steps that you need to go through and then I'm going to give it a try here myself. Alright, first off, what you need to do is - you need to download the Fuji app on your phone. So, first thing - first thing's first is download the Fuji app and there are a number of Fuji apps out there. The one that is currently being used is the Fuji film camera remote. This allows you to remotely view and control the camera in a variety of ways. So, next up after you've downloaded that app is you need to go into your camera right here where we have start the wireless communication. Next up, on your phone, you need to make sure that your Wi-Fi is turned on, that you've selected the X-H1 Wi-Fi system. You need to come back onto your camera to approve that you want to connect up and then you can go back onto your phone and open up the camera remote app and select one of the different options here. So that's what we're going to do right now. So I need to go in and turn in - turn this on on the phone, or on the camera, and then select it on the phone. So, first off, let's go ahead and turn the camera on. Hit the menu switch and we're going to go down to the tail end. Would you guys like a bonus tip? Yeah, I think you'd like a bonus tip. Okay, so the - I'll do this the long way first. So, the place I'm trying to get to is the last item on the second page of the camera item which is down here called wireless communications. So the secret is is that I can actually go down to the tab below it which is the flash and go up and get there in fewer clicks than clicking down through all of those other ones. So I want to go ahead and start the wireless communication right here. And now this is sending out a Wi-Fi signal. So I'm going to take my phone and I'm going to jump in here and to my settings, I am going to make sure my Wi-Fi is turned on and I'm going to be looking for the Wi-Fi of the Fuji X-H and I'm going to wait for that to check and make sure. Sometimes it's down here and you have to select it. I was practicing and I've already got it selected so it's up here. I do need to hit okay over here on the camera so I'm going to hit okay on the camera and now I need to go into my phone and open up my Fuji remote app which I have down here. And if things go right, things are magically going to work here when I press the remote control button and it's looking pretty good. Processing. Let's hit the okay to transmit. And it's looking pretty good now. So now, you can see on my camera what my camera sees. And so now I'm able to go in here, I can shoot videos, I can take still photos, I can go in, I can make changes with the camera if I want to change the ISO. Let's change it up to 800 right here. Hit okay down there. I'm not going to go through all the features on the camera remote. We can play around with the aperture. We can play around with the ISO. Actually, we already did that. And so what I can do now is I can go over and I can get in the picture myself right over here. I just suddenly appeared in areas just a little bit on the laggy side and say if I want to be in the little spot over here and now I can just press the button here and take a photo - take another photo. And so now I can see what's going on with the camera remotely, I can trigger it, and I can make changes from it. And so if you want to mount your camera in an unusual position where you're not allowed to be, for instance, you can actually see and control it. Now, the big downside to this, of course is you are using a fair bit of battery power on both your camera and your phone. And so it is going to run down the batteries a lot if you do this. But it's not something that most people are going to do all the time. It's just kind of a handy tool to solve a certain type of problem. So, I'm going to back out of this. Let's see if I can go back. Cancel out of this, disconnect. So I'm going to disconnect from the phone and there are a number of other things that you can do with the remote. We're going to let it sit at that right now but you can review images, you can download them to your phone so you can upload them to social networks and wherever else you want to do online. And so it's a great system. It's kind of standard in these cameras to have. It's a little spotty. Sometimes things don't always connect up and sometimes things are a little laggy but that is the world of Wi-Fi that we live in today.

I have been thinking about buying this camera. After watching this class I know that I have made the right decision. John is fantastic! Previously I have watched a random assortment of youtube videos by self-proclaimed experts. It turns out that many of the things that these so-called experts have said about this camera are simply wrong. John is the real deal. He goes in depth for every function and explains everything very clearly. His graphics are wonderful, he obviously spent a huge amount of time on preparation. If you have this camera and want to understand it better, or are thinking of buying it, I highly recommend this class which is taught by a true expert.
