What we're gonna do with this is... Let's get, let's start with the three of you again, Okay. Would be great. We don't need this right now. Okay. Alright. Let's move that reflector and maybe have that orange chair ready to go, I will probably use that in a minute. I showed you posing with couches, but not necessarily just a chair. You guys are actually gonna step up, maybe right about here. So the way I'm using these lights, this back one is... And like I said, you can actually flip flop these as well, and have the... And with the smaller sized group, you could have the smaller one in front. But where I tend to place my subjects is gonna be where... the one soft box ends and the other one begins. Even up a little bit more, so maybe right about there. That's great. Perfect. And then, let's get you right in front of Momma. Right in front of Momma. Look at those awesome earrings! Those are amazing. Yeah, she's got amazing earrings on! Where in the world did you get those? Uhhhhm... I'm go...

nna switch lenses real quick. Okay. So I'm going back to the 70-200, I have that 50mm, one two on there for the last shots with the ring light. And now, we're gonna go back on my camera to something...is that telling me something? Hold on. Okay. Let's get...we're gonna get you guys posing. They're gonna get that going. Look at all those heroes. Look at all those heroes. You're my hero. Okay. I love it. So, let's hold Momma's hands, like that. Momma! And I love it. And you're holding Momma. And can you do this right there? Hold her arms. Chin up a little bit. Let's see what...can I push your hat back just a teeny bit? And actually, Mom, I'm gonna have you go ahead and drop this hand. Just behind you. So your body's turned a little more this way. Your face is still gonna turn back this way. Can you let your head come forward so you're resting right on your sis. Chin up a little bit. Alright. Okay. Okay. Okay, perfect. So let's...yup, you guys are good, we're still getting something going with the camera. And so...let's go ahead, and actually let's bring in Aunt. Where's Aunt Lola? So we'll do a couple poses here. Everything I did before was more that waist up horizontal so some of these...that would be something I'd want that variation maybe we'll do something a little more vertical. So, yup. Aunt Lola, your gonna bring... So, question... Watch okay? On or off? Would you be okay if I had you take it off? Mmhmm. Sometimes that's just personal preference. Totally if they want it on, they can leave it on. Sometimes watches and the bulky jewelry I will just have off because it tends to stand out especially if we're trying to get the hands all close together. So you can put your hand up here on little Miss Hero, I love that. I feel like you need to back a little bit so your guys's shoulders are touching. You need to turn in towards each other a little bit. Sam, we're gonna get one. Come forward, sweetheart, a little bit. A little more. Move your feet. There we go, great! We good? Great. Okay! You guys are sweet, I love all those hands, all snuggley. Hero, so I can just see this right now, just from the modeling light, I do use the modeling light a lot. I need Darion and Toughest to take baby step back, we're blocking... Sid, you have to watch that, when the light's only coming from the side we were creating a shadow on Hero. That's much better, I love that, that's beautiful. Snuggley, looking up at me, everybody! (camera clicks) Now...oh wait! It does help if I have on the remote that will fire the lights. It usually does turn out better. Is it on? There we go. Let's do that again. And...change my settings. When I was shooting the ring light, I changed all the settings from wide balance and what we were shooting here. There we go! (camera clicks) Oh, cute, I love that. Where they were looking down. Let's change one thing here. You guys all take one little step back, if you can for me. Perfect. Looking right at me. That's great. (camera clicks) And you're all snuggley. Let's see Toughest, straighten your head up a little bit. And I need Lola and Darion, can you actually make your heads touch? Snuggley. There we go. Looking right at me guys. I need Hero, yup, perfect, looking right here. I want big smiles! I want you to laugh, tickle, tickle the kiddos. There we go! I love that! (camera clicks) That's cute! Perfect. Let's get Mom and Dad in there. Real quick. And then what we need to do, we need to actually do a generational thing. So we'll do that next. So this time, what we're gonna do. I'm actually gonna put... I usually try to have Mom and Dad, obviously, together but right now, we're gonna put one on each side. So, Lola, snuggle in. We're gonna actually put Mom on this side. Yup. Dad on this side. Yup. Actually, you know what, I'm changing my mind. I'm looking at colors, that black, where yours is all gray. So I'm looking at colors, I'm looking at height. So actually...yup. Snuggle up. Carolyn, yup. Steve you're gonna bring your right arm around with Darion's arm. So you're just...I love that. You're behind her a little bit and then your right arm comes up and holds her. Yup. Just like that. Lower. Little bit lower. There we go. That's cute. Same thing. Your left arm there Carolyn. Lower. There we go. Just like that. You guys are gonna snuggle in a little bit. Perfect. Looking right at me everybody. Actually look at each other, that was sweet. Look at each other. And then, Hero, I'm losing ya. Tough just needs to scoot back a little bit, with Darion. Scoot back a little bit. Chin up. Chin up, baby. There we go. Perfect. I love that you guys are all looking at each other. Darion, turn your face to the right a little bit. Gorgeous. And then look right at me. Hero! You're hiding in the shadows! There she is! Take one little step forward, Miss Hero. One little baby step forward. There we go. Great smiles, I love that. Awesome. Let's do this. Let's actually grab the orange chair. The girls picked out the orange chair. Right here. We'll throw that up there real quick. Was that fun to watch? Oh no! (laughter) I don't want to hear that! Oh no, what? Were your eyes closed? We do that sometimes. Yeah! Oh man! Man. That picture. Shoot. My eyes are closed. Gosh. Okay. Let's actually...yup. Let's do that. Let's have... Me! You? You. And me! You? Okay. So I'm trying to think what we've done here. We got kiddos all together. Kiddos with Grandma and Grandpa. I'm just kinda recapping. We haven't done something generationally. That would be really sweet. I actually think one of you guys standing on the chair. Yup, so actually you're gonna stand and sit here. Aunt Lola will help hold you up there. Great. Perfect. And then turn your legs this way, sweetheart. So you're sitting nice and tall. You don't get to lean down too much. That's kinda fun. And then we're gonna get maybe a little chair here. Here we go. Perfect. Awesome. Maybe, Darion, how bout you sit. But actually put your back to the kiddos possibly, I wanna see what that kinda looks like. There we go. Let's scoot you guys all back a shape. We're just gonna go back a little bit. You good up there? There we go. Perfect, let's do that. Okay! That's good. Let's go ahead and bring Mom and Dad back together again. Steve, you're gonna come right over here. On this side though. Come over on this side, yup. I kinda remember where I had you last time, so we're mixing it up. And then, we need to bring you, my sweetie, so your head...you don't want heads blocking heads, so your head is right in between Grandma and Aunt. Yup. Then Lola's right there. Let's see. Let me look. Woo! There we go. Camera! Alright. Steve, can you come forward a little bit more. Mom, lean over, forward a little bit more. Darion, can you push your chair back about half a foot. We're gonna move you back a little bit. Great. Okay, that's good, that's good. Darion, you're kinda leaning away a little bit, Dairon's this way a little bit. Lola's this way. Darion's arms crossed a little bit, lean this way a little bit. Lola's leaning forward. And I want Dad and Mom to switch places really fast. So, Steve, him and Carolyn flip flop. Rotate. And then we're good! That's the shot. We're gonna roll with it. Right there. Yup. You guys are much better. I love that! That's cute. So that would be a fun way to pose with the chair. Darion, how bout legs crossed little bit. An ankle even? Cute. Cute. Okay, everybody, right here! Let's do a look at each other shot again. (camera clicks) Looking back at me! Looking back at me. Big smiles. Toughest, tip your head towards Hero a little bit. Cute. That's super cute. (camera clicks) And then, let's go ahead...perfect. Let's go ahead and grab a generational shot and then you guys will be good. Let's lose the chair. So really, it's everybody. Let's actually get you with the girls and Mom, first. Let's do that. So hop up, sweetie. We're gonna just slide this out of the way. We're gonna let Mom sit this time. Oh, okay. Perfect, you can sit right there. I get to sit? Yup, Darion. You're gonna be right back here with Momma. Okay. Lola, come over here. I would do one shot for sure with Mom and her girls. Perfect, you come over on the other side. Yup. Yup. Lola you're gonna...yup. Each of you, Mom's head is right in between you. Yup. So there you go. Beautiful. Beautiful. I love that. You're holding Momma. And you're kinda leaning up and over Momma a little bit too. Perfect. (camera clicks) You guys look gorgeous. I love that. Perfect. Okay, let's get the girls now. So Lola, you have a minute to step aside. Hero, stand right in front of Grandma. So this will be more of a vertical shot. Snuggle up. Warp your arms over Hero. Hero, grab Grandma. Grandma, you're gonna tip your head actually on this side. Into the light. Hero, snuggle back against Grandma. There we go. Perfect. Leaning over. Toughest, you need to be right here. Snuggley up, holding Grandma. Then you're leaning down and over. So this would make a really nice vertical shot right here. Okay. Perfect. So, what I'm getting right now, Hero's hiding Grandma. Hero, hold Grandma's hands. There we go. But come a little bit this way. Yup. And I love that. And then Darion, you're kinda leaning forward. Toughest, you gotta scoot forward a little bit you're in the shadows. Right there, perfect. (camera clicks) I love that. Looking at me. Hero, go this way a little bit. Move your head. Yup, perfect. Great smiles. I want those real smiles. Hero move this way a little bit. Perfect. Working it. Big smiles. It's cute! (camera clicking) Toughest, hold Hero's arm. Oh, cute. That's cute. I need, Toughest, let's have you come forward a little bit. Hero...oh too much. Your sister's head and your head glued together. Bonk 'em together. Perfect. Grandma, lean your head kinda around Hero. Chin up. And then Darion, really lean down. I love that. Perfect. That's cute. (camera clicks) That's cute. Grandma, tip your head up a little bit. Beautiful. Looking right at me! Looking at me, not the screen. Perfect! Great smiles. And do one snuggle, one quiet. Shh. Right there. Beautiful. Chin up, Hero. (camera clicks) Beautiful. (camera clicks) I love it. Okay. The last shot I actually wanna do. Let's do this. Let's get Mom and the two girls. And I'm gonna have the girls actually sitting at your feet. Kinda a fun shot. Let's lower the lights as low as they can go. And if they can't go too low, the one nice thing, these can just flip around because I definitely need light lower than what this is. So we'll just rotate it if it can't get low enough. Maybe just go ahead and rotate it, might be a good idea. Okay. Darion, you're gonna stand right here. And then girls, you're gonna sit on the ground and lean up against Momma's feet. Oh cute! But I wanna see Momma's feet. So you are gonna actually sit sideways. Yup, sit sideways. You're gonna go...sit...turn turn turn. Sit sideways, yup, that's cute, that's cute. Maybe, let's look at...oh, that's adorable. Love that. Darion, your hands are in it. This is just your legs, so actually raise your hands up so they're out of the shot. Perfect. Hold on. And so we're gonna go even a little quieter, sweeties. Right there. Shh. I want, Toughest, chin up a little bit. (camera clicks) Hero, chin up a little bit. Now I want laughs and smiles and giggles! I love it! Cute! (camera clicking) Ohh! There we go! Perfect! Perfect. Perfect. Look at here. Peek'a'boo! Cute! Okay, legs down, knees together. Legs down. Put your feet this way. There we go. Pull your dress down. Dress down a little bit. Oh, that's cute. I like that. Okay. Hero, chin up. Perfect, one more. Right like that. And I think we got it. Awesome. Great. Chin up. Everyone, chin up! There we go, perfect. (camera clicks) Beautiful. No try your one last quiet smile. (camera clicks) Awesome. Awesome, awesome. Alright you guys, I think we got it. I think we're good.

All I have to say is - Vicki you are a saint. To handle four kids, dog and their parents too, not to mention a class of students watching...AND YOU'RE TAKING PHOTOS, GOOD ONES!! All I know is, I could not handle that as you have even though I was a teacher for 25 years (K-12, all of them) - and wonderful people like you are far and few between. May you stay healthy and happy and continue interacting with kids and parents - you really have a talent! (I had to turn the sound off on the vid because it was driving me crazy,, with kids, dog, etc etc!)

It was true to life and yes, a bit chaotic. But I enjoyed it, it shows the work that often does go into a session with all the multitasking. I got some great ideas for poses, and learned some new way to interact with younger children. Thank you for a honest session and not a perfect planned one.

Awesome class, really informative, and loved how you handled all the chaos. Great sales and promotional advice from your hubby too. Fantastic, well rounded :)
