Be Proud of Your Finished Catalog

I want to kind of closes out by encouraging you we talked a lot of specifics all day long a lot of like tactical information but what I really want to encourage you is tio I want you to feel empowered to go out and do this if this is the next step for you if you do want to sell wholesale I want you to feel really confident going on creating this catalog so I want you to be proud of what you're creating on dh so I would really want to touch like kind of recap here everything we learned and and things that I want you to focus on so make it easy for the retailers to buy I probably said that fifty or sixty times day right? But it's my launcher for this and I wanted to be your mentor to so write that down you know when you're designing this catalog put it friend center and every decision you make every question you have about your layout and styling and what photos choose and all this stuff ask yourself does this make it easier for my buyer to buy or does this kind of detract from what I'm ...

trying to do, which is so so again remember this is a sales tool first don't skip the basics, make sure all your product details air in there make sure the skewed numbers are correct and they're you know easily visible and a good size make sure all those essentials that we talked about went through in there catalogs take a lot of time money and effort to create so you know be proud of the work you're doing and really give yourself the time to do it right and don't try to hurry the process because I think that's where aa lot of people falling the pitfalls where things go wrong you know they end up having to use different materials because the other ones they want to use aren't available on short notice so just give you give yourself a lot of time to do that keep your catalog going back to an earlier side keep it simple informative and on brand those air the three things to you that you really want to hone in on focus and then remember too that these catalogs air really going the benefit of them is that they're going to help you reach a wider audience and they're going to help you potentially increase your sales so you know if you're sending these catalogs out if people are picking them up it trade shows if you go to sell at a retail craft show bring a few with you in case retailers come up to you but ultimately these catalogs air going going to do the job of selling your products when you're not even there to do it similar to how your website functions as well on dh then again going back to our last conversation of your budget decide where you want to spend your money what are the most important factors to you and again tie it all back all of it every decision you make does this make it easy for the buyers to buy three killers to buy so again I want you to be proud of the work you're doing with this catalog I want you you know your catalog is really going to present ah polished look for your brand and it is going to set you apart from the competition these air benefits that will really help elevate your brand and make you look if you're not already more legit and were professional and selling to more outlets I think too that professionalism and that perception that's what I was looking for the perception of having a catalog really really elevates a lot of brands carry you mentioned that too that you know the retailers when they saw your catalog they were impressed and didn't really think of you as a new york company when you saw it when they saw it so again I want you to feel confident I want you to feel proud and I want you to feel like the professional that you are once you have this catalog so I really hope this information was helpful to you and that you know you feel confident going out and really creating this this sales tool for your business

Even though I've been selling my creative work through my wholesale business for several years, this class was a great refresher! It can be so tempting to make a catalog that's artistic and flashy, but Katie reminds us that the main focus should be to make it easy for your client to BUY! Katie has tons of experience with businesses buying and selling paper goods and gifts, and her insights help me focus in on the details that matter most to my buyers. Thanks for the help!

This course was fantastic and gave specific tips on how to effectively create your wholesale catalog. It was a perfect resource as I hadn't even thought about creating my catalog yet, but the info I learned will help influence the direction and thought I put into building out my product line.

I already had a digital catalog, but this really opened my mind up to the idea of a printed one and how important it can be for getting sales. It was great to see other catalog examples and learn about the variety of product that a retailer is looking for in a catalog. Really great class for anyone wanting to expand into the wholesale business.
