Hi everyone, we're in the kind of like pitching to clients and showing kind of a fancier version of our mock ups now. XD gets us to a certain point, but there's just certain things that can't do right? Remember swiping right at the moment. It's probably being fixed by now, but you can't have videos at the moment. There's lots of things that it can't do with phones, like integrate with like things like VR or location services, all that kind of fancy stuff that phones can do. So what you can do is you can use a separate product like this one. Okay. This is just a, for instance, it's called prototype. I um, I was speaking at a conference last month for adobe called adobe max. These guys had a stall here. Very cool stuff. And what ends up happening is that they've got a plug in for connecting adobe XD. Now, what happens is basically you've got to download prototype. It's can you see it down here? It's an extra bit of software. So it's not like just dump it in there. Okay. But it's no code,...

which is cool, but you can add a lot more interactivity and I'll show you some of the examples in this next gallery here. But basically this particular thing, prototype, I you export your Adobe XD file into it. Let's have a look at some of the things it can do. So have a look here. Just more information, like timeline based animation. If you're kind of like an after effects person order animates Cool. But it doesn't let you kind of do things that are, they don't just all start at the same time. So let's have a look through some of them. Like some of this, this their mock up there will allow you to actually use In a mock up, that whole three DVR thing. You can have a look through this yourself. So I'm in Pro to pi dot io slash demo and there's lots of cool examples in here and I just kind of like working through them. Like they actually work where we're kind of faking lots of stuff in adobe XD at the moment. It will get better. But I bet you adobe will rely on companies like this to fill these kind of, I guess it's like a whole separate application, this thing. Okay. But there's lots of cool examples. Open this one here. So let's go back to the beginning, back to the menu, you can see it's lovely interactive. And what's really nice is that things are drag a ble okay, up and down left and right. You can click on some bits and these videos that play inside of here. Cool. So that's prototype. I just gets a little shout out here and meet the guys and girls at the conference. It's a really cool little product. I'm not using it much myself, but I could see how you, my audience could find this super useful now. Remember Pro to pi is just one of the company's trying to fill this hole, That's the one I had exposure to recently. So if your XD mock up can't do what you needed to do just yet, you might want to try a product like this. Alright, let's get into the next video.

Ratings and Reviews

Haseebullah Johar

Thank you, Dan Scott, for providing such a beautiful Adobe XD course. I completed the course today and noticed a couple of things that are missing. I want to share them here so that you can upgrade the course, which would be helpful for us. Hover state and toggle state. Dragging pages from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back from 3-2 to 2-1 with dragging is not working. Another thing is that we learned scrolling the website from top to bottom, but scrolling or pushing things from right to left has been completely omitted. These are the things I have noticed, and I would like you to upgrade them so that we can improve our Adobe XD skills.
