How to Fine Tune the Design and Finalize It

in this lesson, I will explain how to finalize the design by fine tuning it, finalizing or fine tuning the image means you will look at everything in the image and adjusting first. I'd like to look at the composition in balance and before I do that, make sure I have all the details so any detail that I need. This is a good time to add everything in it so that you can see the overall image as a balance. Now. You want to just, especially negative space, meaning the empty space or the background area because of the outlined shape of this composition, it looks like the left side has more negative space. So I select everything in, shift slightly to the left to adjust that spacing. Also, you want to look at the distance between shapes to control the oval outline shape of the design to make it look organic. So what I want to achieve here is I don't want everything to look two squared. I want to have nice and organic outline shape. So for example, if you see this area is aligned too much as st...

raight, then you want to go in and adjust that so that nothing aligned to perfect. Again, my goal is to have rather organic shape because everything else is very predictable. Also you want to adjust the sizes of each object, especially if you're communicating something in the distance. Make sure that object is small enough so that you will create a good sense of depth and make sure any overlapping is happening effectively. And also this is a good time to add patterns or adjust the patterns. If the pattern it's not working then you can readjust or reset the pattern. I selected this area. I want to add pattern then going to window menu, open swatch panel and from option menu I opened swatch library patterns, basic graphics, I choose dots and then you can add appropriate pattern that you want to use. Then double click on scale tool and make sure you uncheck transform object. Then you can adjust the size of the pattern once you get the satisfactory result, then you can go to object menu to the expand and what I also do is to use the pathfinder panel divide option. Then it makes it easier for me to choose individual pattern shape as an object, then I can use select menu to select the area. Just the pattern area and I can change the color and make sure you want to adjust the colors too. You can find you in the color by opening up the color picker to create the right amount of contrast. Also this is a good time to see if you can add even more detail. It is important to keep this very subtle for example, small item like this one and you can think of this part of the process as adding highlights or detailed shadow type of elements at this point. Almost everything is there and working already. So if you add something big for example it will just make the image more confusing. You want to keep it subtle enough not to interfere with what's already working, but if you can add another level of smaller elements here, that will definitely enhance the image. Now, now the design is complete. Once you are familiar with this process, you can probably understand how this approach can apply to many different projects, and you should be able to adjust the process based on nature of the project.
